POINT TO PONDER: I was made for a mission.
REFLECT: How did today's reading impact you? |
God is at work in this world today, and He wants you and I to join Him. God wants you to have both a ministry in the body
of Christ, and a mission in the world.
"THe most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24 -NCV) "Jesus said, 'Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am withy you always, to the very end of the age." (Matt 28:19-20 NIV) Fulfilling your life mission on earth is an essential part of living for God's glory. The Bible gives several reasons why your mission is so important.
To fulfill your mission will require that you abandon your agenda and accept God's agenda for your life. YOu yield your rights, expectations, dreams, plans, and ambitions to Him. Instead of praying "God bless what I'm doing", you pray "I want to join You and do what You're blessing." You hand God a blank sheet of paper with your name signed at the bottom, and ask Him to fill in the details. "As the Father has sent Me, I am sending you..." John 20:21 |
| PRAYER: "Gracious Father, thank you for the great privilege of being a part of Your mission, to reach one more with Your amazing love. I desire today to join You where You are working, and to seek to live for You completely. Amen |
| FOR MY CONSIDERATION: What does it mean to live for Him? What fears have kept me back from fulfilling the mission God made me to accomplish? What keeps me from telling others the Good News? |
This week's Memory verse:
“Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.” Colossians 4:5 (NIV) |
