POINT TO PONDER: I was made for a mission.
REFLECT: How did today's reading impact you?
God is at work in this world today, and He wants you and I to join Him. God wants you to have both a ministry in the body of Christ, and a mission in the world.
"THe most important thing is that I complete my mission,
the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24 -NCV)

"Jesus said, 'Go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything
I have commanded you. And surely I am withy you always,
to the very end of the age." (Matt 28:19-20 NIV)

Good morning Mr Phelps.... Your mission, should you choose to accept it--introducing people to God, is the fifth purpose of your life.
Fulfilling your life mission on earth is an essential part of living for God's glory. The Bible gives several reasons why your mission is so important.
  1. Your mission is a continuation of Jesus' mission on earth..
  2. Jesus calls us not only to come to Him, but to go for Him. Matt 28:19-20(listed above) wasn't His great suggestion, it is His great Commission. And it's not given just to pastors, missionaries and "full-time workers", it's given to every follower of Jesus. You are the only Christian some people may ever know.
  3. Your mission is a wonderful privilege.
  4. Your mission involves two great privileges: working with God and representing Him.(2 Corinthians 5:18, 6:1)
  5. Your mission is the greatest thing you can do for someone.
  6. Like Matt sang yesterday, "I've got good news". Despite how people look from an outward perspective, thay are hopelessly lost without God and need Jesus. We have the greatest news in the world and sharing it is the greatest kindness you can show to anyone.
  7. Your mission has eternal significance.
  8. Nothing else you do will ever matter as much as helping people establish an eternal relationship with God.
  9. Your mission gives your life meaning.
  10. (Acts 20:24) William James said, "The best use of a life is to spend it for something that outlasts it." If just one person will be in heaven because of you, your life will have made a difference for eternity.
  11. Most important, Your mission will bring glory to God.
  12. More to Christ, more like Christ, for His glory.... Amen?

To fulfill your mission will require that you abandon your agenda and accept God's agenda for your life. YOu yield your rights, expectations, dreams, plans, and ambitions to Him. Instead of praying "God bless what I'm doing", you pray "I want to join You and do what You're blessing." You hand God a blank sheet of paper with your name signed at the bottom, and ask Him to fill in the details. "As the Father has sent Me, I am sending you..." John 20:21
PRAYER:
"Gracious Father, thank you for the great privilege of being a part of Your mission, to reach one more with Your amazing love. I desire today to join You where You are working, and to seek to live for You completely. Amen
FOR MY CONSIDERATION:
What does it mean to live for Him? What fears have kept me back from fulfilling the mission God made me to accomplish? What keeps me from telling others the Good News?
This week's Memory verse:
“Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every
	opportunity.” Colossians 4:5 (NIV)
