POINT TO PONDER:God smiles when I trust Him.
REFLECT: How did today's reading impact you?
"I was planned for God's pleasure. The smile of God is the goal of my life. Since pleasing God is the first purpose of my life, my primary task is to discover how to make God smile.
"Figure out what will please Christ, and then do it" (Ephesians 5:10 - The Message)

It seems so simple. This is what God desires most from me - a relationship! God deeply loves you and I and desires our love in return. Noah was a clear example of a life that gives pleasure to God. He trusted God completely and wholeheartedly did as God told him.
"From high in the skies God looks around, He overlooks all us earth-dwellers. He has
shaped each person in turn; now He watches everything we do" (Psalms 33:13-15 - The Message)

Like a proud parent, God is not requiring me to be perfect before He starts liking me. God made us as He desired and it brings Him immense pleasure to watch you and I employ the talents and abilities which He purposefully put in us. "I don't bring glory or pleasue to God by hiding my abilities or by trying to be someone else. I only bring him enjoyment by being me. Anytime I reject any part of myself, I am rejecting God's wisdom and sovereignty in creating me.
When I live in light of eternity, the question changes from "How much pleasure am I getting out of life?" to "How much pleasure is God getting out of my life?" God is looking for people today- people who are willing to live for the pleasure of God. This lifestyle of worship (Romans 12:1) is the only sensible way to live."
PRAYER:
"Gracious Father, I want to make you smile today. May the words of my mouth, the thoughts in my mind, the focus of my life today bring You honor. Give me Your strength today to trust You completely, obey you wholeheartedly and show You love in return. Amen"
FOR MY CONSIDERATION:
What makes it difficult for me to trust God completely? What areas of my life do I need to trust Him most?
This week's Memory verse:
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and
with all your strength." Mark 12:30 (NIV)
